Hi, I've found strange behavior of theme fonts in Storyline 2. I changed the theme fonts to Arial (from Open Sans) and then when I select the font from font list (the first two items - theme fonts) I got the Open Sans (visually) but it says that it's Arial. When I select the font from the list (from All fonts) it's displayed correctly.
Attached storyline file and print screen to show this behavior.
Hi Radosław! Thanks for sharing your file with me. I do see where you've used Arial as the font for your slide text, but it looks like Open Sans. I tried adding a new text box on the same slide, and the font appeared normally. I did the similar test on a new slide, and again the Arial font displayed correctly. Here's a screen recording of my testing.
Can you tell me what version of Storyline 2 you're using? To check, click the Help tab, then click About Articulate Storyline. You should see Update 12 in the top-right corner.
Hi again. This problem is easy to fix, but the point is that it happens sometimes and You could miss inconsistency in the course (between slides). Today, my friend has the same issue (but with Arial and Calibri). Let's use attached earlier file as an example. When You add a new text box, it shows that font used is Arial (headings) and it looks like Arial. But when You change the font to "Arial (headings)" it starts to look like Open Sans (in my example). At this point changing the font again to Arial (from list, not from the theme fonts [the first two options]) doesn't change its look (it's still look like Open Sans). The only way to back to real Arial is to change the font to other one and then to Arial (from list: All fonts).
Although I can see this problem in your file, I'm still having trouble recreating the issue in a new Storyline 2 file. From here, I'm going to connect you with our Support Engineers so we can do some further investigation.
As soon as they test your file, they'll reach out to you via email. Stay tuned!

Thanks, Radosław. If you insert a new slide and add a new text box like I did in the video, does the text still appear like Open Sans?
