Timeline continue when click external link

I have a Storyline 360 slide in which the leaner clicks an object that takes them to a web object (YouTube video). I need to have the slide timed so that the user must stay on the slide for as long as the video plays. Since the video is external I can't really control it so I fix the timeline for the time of the video. That way the learner cannot advance to the next slide until the timeline completes. However, when the learner goes to the external video, the timeline pauses thus doubling the time I intended for the slide. Is there a way for the timeline to continue playing while the learner is watching the external video? Any other suggestions for how to handle this situation? Thanks much!

Hi Rich!
I'm interested in how others build this interaction into their courses!
My suggestion is to pause the timeline when the user clicks the video, and add a condition that changes a variable. If you have a sample file to share, it will give us a better idea of what you're looking to create.
