Thanks for reaching out! Can you tell me more about what you mean by "Storyline 3 doesn't recognize the resume state data"?
When you return to the course, do you see the prompt to resume?
Are you able to click on previous slides in the menu?
Also, have you done any testing in SCORM Cloud yet? If so, are you getting the same results? We generally compare the behavior in SCORM Cloud to your LMS experience to try to parse out file issues versus LMS issues. We are happy to help you with that testing if you'd like to share your file!
When you return to the course it starts from the first slide. Our module is set to automatically resume from where the user left off.
We just upgraded from SL2 to SL3, imported the module and published it since SL3 has better accessibility features. All the users who previously took the module created in SL2 when they login and go to the module it starts from the 1st slide. We dont want users to lose the progress made in previous version since the module is exactly same.
I looked at the state data from module created in SL2 and SL3 and it seems SL2 return JSON format while SL3 just returned state data.
Thanks for those details. I'm not familiar with the state data, so I'm going to do some research on this with my team. I'll get back to you as soon as I have an answer for you!
I've got an answer for you, Samit! When you republish a project, the resume data from the previous version is no longer valid and will not be used for the newly publishing output. Have a look here at our documentation on that.
