Track time spent on each slide

Jul 09, 2012

Hi everyone,

This is my first post in this community and my first time using Storyline!

I recently finished creating my first course, and I see when I publish it that I can pick publication and tracking based on number of slides viewed or on the quiz results. What I'm wondering is if you can track how much time a learner spends on each slide, in a course? Or is that something that I would set in my LMS? If so - I'm using Cornerstone - if anyone else has guidance on doing that in Cornerstone, I'd be grateful.

Thanks!

Adriana

Welcome to Heroes, Adriana!

And congrats on the first course I don't have any experience with Cornerstone, but I wanted to confirm to you that tracking the amount of time a user spends on slides is something that would indeed have to be done through your LMS, and not through Storyline. We do send latency data to the LMS, but it's up to the LMS to determine how to relay that information to you. Sorry I can't be of more help, but someone else may be able to jump in with specific information relating to Cornerstone.

Welcome again!

Hi Erez,

I saw you've hit a few threads with this query, and I wanted to let you know that it's something we'll have to defer to the community about as our team cannot assist with Javascript or specific LMS issues. Also, Peter changed positions in Articulate and doesn't get back into the forums as often.

Hopefully someone in the community will be able to offer some specifics of how they accomplished this.
