In this update, we have implemented a fix for:
- Storyline 360 crashing when adding conditions to triggers or publishing to Word.
As a first step, I recommend updating Storyline 360 to the latest version. Here's how:

That would be a "no." The first suggested "solution," per Articulate Tech Support, was to disable anti-virus and change my user profile to local admin. As I elaborated on in this post, the era of everyone being a local admin on their computers is over. Internal IT departments find having fewer users (even including those in IT) having administrative privileges means less vectors for cyber-attack.
The second suggested "solution," again per Articulate Tech Support, was to use the keyboard arrow keys to get to the "Object" option. While that does, for the most part, work, it is entirely kludgy and ignores the underlying issues. I pay for software that works, not software that requires jumping through multiple hoops to get it to sorta-work. Software in the latter column is called "beta," aka "not ready for public sale." As an alpha and beta tester for several of the big names before Articulate was around, I know beta when I see it.
Well I would 100% again, in todays business world, expecting anyone to have local admin rights is quite frankly ridiculous unless they are banking on most of their clientele to be free lancers. My previous position I was doing local IT work for a large corporation and our hands were very tied with what we could and could not do. Articulate needs to step up their game and fix their bugs. To many competitors on the market these days to just brush this under the rug for months.
This always happens to me, whenever I try to create a condition. No matter the project.
Hello Jill!
Sorry that you are running into this issue as well! We'll want our Support Engineers to take a look at your project to determine what is getting in the way. Our Support Engineers are available in a support case.
I had to reinstall an older version as all videos give errors when entering a slide. Old version no error whatsoever. Come on Articulate... dont release updates when they are this buggy.
I'm sorry for this trouble and extra work, Math. I'd like our team to investigate further. Would you mind sharing a sample with us so we can see what's going on?
If i had time...but deadline is looming. So i keep on the older version that works till this is done. Just a project with several slides with video on them. Jump to next slide when video completes. On the second slide i get tons of error messages in the console and the video keeps loading.
Hi Lauren, I'll put in a ticket. However, this seems to be occurring across the board for me. I even created a brand new project to test and encountered the same error.
I appreciate you contacting the support team, Jill. You will be hearing from someone soon and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊
