Triggers I can't delete?

Aug 02, 2023

My company hired an outside contractor to make a module teaching staff how to use a computer software program.  It was a total train wreck and they finally just gave us what they'd done and agreed to let us (me) fix them.  Now I'm redoing these 200+ slide modules.

One of the things that doesn't work is there is a return demo where they type in what is required.  The triggers say "set textentry89 equal to the typed value when the text entry loses focus."  I'm not even sure what that means.  There are dozens of these, each with a different # and none of them work, but I also can't delete them.

Similarly, there are lots of "play media when" triggers but there is no media to play.  I am ending up adding new triggers with hot spots to advance the slides.  But I'm wondering what I'm missing that I can't delete these triggers.  This one is on nearly every slide.

Hello Jennifer, you cannot delete the triggers that are linked to the text entry inputs, such as "set textentry89 equal to the typed value when the text entry loses focus." Only by erasing the text entries themselves can the triggers connected to them be removed.

As for the "play media when" triggers, I suppose there may be more resources, such audio files, that you need to include in your project file.

Would you be willing to share your project file here?
