Triggers to change states

Sep 03, 2013

Hello heroes,

I have a slide where there are a series of images. I can set it up to where images change states, and when the state changes to "visited", it stays visited.

However I'm trying to control these states through a shape via triggers, and it works, but the image's state does not stay a visited when I move the mouse away from the shape.

For example, when I hover over the shape, it changes the state of the image to "hover."

When I click the shape, it changes the state of the image to "visited."

So far, so good.

However, after I move my mouse away from the shape, the state of the image reverts to "Normal". I would like it to stay as "Visited."

I've tried setting up a condition, but that did not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Michael.

I think what I want to do is not doable.

Here's what I would like:

  • When I hover over the shape:
  •       the state of the shape changes to "Hover" from "Normal" and then restores when the mouse leaves.
  •      The state of the image changes to "Hover" from "Normal" and then restores when the mouse leaves.
  • When I click the shape, the state of the image changes to "Visited" and stays that way

Right now,  the above works until I re-hover over the shape, at which point the state of the image returns to "Normal."

I've set up a condition for the trigger on the shape:

Change the state of image to "hover" when mouse is hovered over shape on the condition that the image's state is "normal,"

but that does not do the trick.

One option would be to trigger the image's hover/normal state from another shape that is slightly larger than the first one. Clicking the original shape would hide the second one and with that prevent the image from having subsequent hover/normal states. See attached a quick example and here is the published version. Hope that's what you wanted.
