Triggers within layers
Hi. I'm trying to add a few triggers to the 4th layer of a slide, assuming that by the point my learners reach this layer they will have taken on sufficient information to allow them to advance to the next slide.
However, Storyline seems to be doing two things - hiding my Triggers so that they're not available to view or edit, and also weirdly applying them to the base layer of my slide.
Am I missing something?

Can you share your SL file?

Somewhat unbelievably, I have revisited the project this morning and it seems to be working!! The only thing I don't seem to have now is access to the Next slide button from my 4th layer
That's a bit of good news, David.
I want to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Sure - I'll attach the rough draft that I'm working on. We're very new to Storyline (and eLearning in general!) so we're still working lots of things out as we go.

Hi, David.
Thank you for sharing your .story file! I'm happy to take a look!
You have a few slides with four or more layers. Which one are you having issues with?

Hi. The problem seems to have resolved itself now, but on the file I uploaded there were issues with Triggers on the 4th layer of the "process" slides. Storyline was hiding them, or applying them to all of the slides.
Thankfully it seems to have sorted itself out now, but it's odd that it happened in the first place
