Trying to change layout while maintaining triggers

Oct 21, 2020

I am working with a slide that has layers that show when the trigger is activated, the problem is the layers are vertical, and the text on them is vertical as well. It makes it hard to read. I am trying to change it so the text and layers are horizontal, but I can't figure out the right question to ask or where to search to figure it out.

Hi Elizabeth,

On the assumption that I have understood you correctly, what I would do is to pick one layer, select all the items on the layer by dragging over the entire slide and then rotate them 90 degrees anticlockwise. This will initially put things where you want them.

Now what you need to do is to rotate the text box and icon for the displayed item 90 degrees clockwise so that everything is the right way up. Having achieved that, then adjust the height and length of the various components to fit the dimensions of your slide.

If you are successful with your trial layer, you can now repeat the same process for the other layers. I suggest you make a note of the dimensions you ended up with for your various components so that you can accurately match them on the other layers.

By doing it this way, your triggers will remain intact as you won't be removing or replacing any of the components.

If I have got the wrong end of the stick, my apologies, but I hope this helps.
