I created the below in Tumult Hype, is something like this possible with Articulate? Especially talking about playing two videos and revealing/hiding one with a on-screen slider.
Would that web object work in all Storyline players (including Mobile player)? Also, I assume tracking events from the embedded web object would be tricky?
Thanks for the follow-up! A web object will also work in the mobile player as well, but as an FYI, I just ran the first link on my phone and had trouble using the UI slider.
Also, there's currently no built-in way to track activity in a web object since the content is hosted online.
Thanks Ren, yeah it's a proof of concept at the moment and hasn't been optimised and tested on mobile - something to add to the list!
Unfortunately, as you said, the embedding method means we cannot track data in these interactions, which is a bit of a deal breaker for us and means we're currently looking at other authoring solutions.
I have never done it using Hype but there is a forum thread on the Hype forum that discusses just this. I love developing in Hype but have never had a request yet to scorm the output.

You could embed your hype project as a web object

Hi PJ,
Thanks for the follow-up! A web object will also work in the mobile player as well, but as an FYI, I just ran the first link on my phone and had trouble using the UI slider.
Also, there's currently no built-in way to track activity in a web object since the content is hosted online.
Let us know how you're testing goes!

Thanks for your time / help, though!

You should be able tom adjust a variable from the Hype embed with javascript or simply build the whole thing in HYpe and use a scorm wrapper
Thanks Phil! Had totally overlooked the fact that the embed can receive and send variables from/to the Storyline player - thanks for the tip!
On the second option; have you had experience wrapping html/javascript content into a scorm package?
I have never done it using Hype but there is a forum thread on the Hype forum that discusses just this. I love developing in Hype but have never had a request yet to scorm the output.
Here is the documentation https://forums.tumult.com/t/scorm-lms-embedding-a-hype-element/1380
Ok Thank you, got it
