Dec 18, 2019

I tried to update the scorm file after updating the changes in content.

When I tired to launch as a student who had completed the course with score 50% so he try to access the course which had all the content updates but he gets the following error.

And if I delete the track data for that user then it works fine, but I dont want users to retake the whole course when we update scorm file.

I get the following error in the google browser when I inspected.

could you please help me with this.

Welcome, Rakshit. You came to the right place for help!

Are you comfortable with attaching your .story file publicly here or privately by this link? I'm happy to gauge the course performance in another LMS environment like SCORM Cloud, and will delete it after we nail down the culprit!

Also, what version of Storyline and Chrome are you using?

Hi Katie,

We are using Moodle as our learning system.

The course freezes when some specific steps (mentioned below) are followed.

1) As a fresh student/user start the course

2) Take up some part of the assessment and leave the course during the assessment.

3) As an admin make some changes to the story file, publish the course and update the course in moodle

4) As the same student (in step 1), try to continue the course, clicking on the forward button the course freezes.

We have identified this freezing to be caused because of a JS error in App.min.js generated in the zip file published as scorm package.
I have attached the un-minified version of the JS file. We are getting this error on line number 38218. Also, a screenshot of the error can be found at this URL https://www.screencast.com/t/9gyzKNm77.

We have also identified that if we delete the track of the user (i.e. the user has to start the course again from the beginning as if it was their first attempt) then we are not getting any error.

However, this is not desirable because there could always be some changes to a course for content etc.

Can you please help with this?

Thanks,

Rakshit Maniar
