A colleague of mine is trying to publish a course to SCORM 1.2, but Storyline keeps stopping in the middle and we're not able to publish the course at all.
The course is about 300 slides with 1 quiz at the end. Do you have any advice to help us isolate the problem?
Unfortunately, we're up against a tight deadline (Murphy's Law) and would appreciate any help to resolve this issue.
Can you pinpoint a specific slide that the publish seems to be failing on each time, or is it random? Can you also verify for me that you're attempting to publish to a local drive, rather than a network or USB drive?
And with 300 slides, if it's a really media-rich course, it could be dragging down your system while trying to publish, which might explain why you're getting intermittent success. How large is your course?
If you're able, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using this link so our support team can assist you further.

Hi Peter,
So far, we haven't noticed any specific slide where the publish is failing, so it is random. We are trying to publish to a local drive.
Another issue we noticed is that sometimes we are able to publish but the SCORM output shows a manifest error.
Thanks,
Grace
Thanks, Grace.
Can you tell me how you're going about zipping the published file?

Hi Peter,
We've been selecting the Articulate option to zip the published file. The course itself is about 393 MB.
We have submitted a case to your support team and hopefully they will be able to help us.
Thank you so much for replying!
Grace
Thanks, Grace! I'll keep an eye on it, and someone will contact you shortly. Have a great weekend
