Unfinished course loads several slides before exit slide
Feb 06, 2015
Hello,
I have a course that I loaded onto my LMS that is having a few issues and I was hoping the wonderful people here would help me take a crack at it. My course contains 38 slides, 31 of which are voiced over with the closed captioning added using the template I found on this site. There are then 6 quiz questions and a results slide. Overall I don't think this is too complicated of a course. I published using SCORM 2004 3rd edition and uploaded it to my LMS, Prosperity by Ziiva.
When users exit the course it only remembers their place up to the 27th slide and no further, regardless of how far they completed the course. This occurs for every user.
Also, regardless of the question, some users reach question 4 and are shown the "incorrect" banner before answering. This prevents them from answering and submitting. I attached a snipit with company info removed.
Has anyone had a similar experience with their LMS or courses? I have no idea why it only effects some participants.
Thanks!

Hi Brandon! This is not an issue that I'm familiar with, but I would advise that you test via SCORM Cloud to see if you get the same result. This will help determine if it's the project or the LMS.
Hi Leslie,
I'm thinking that it is my LMS. I can't replicate the error in the picture even on my LMS until one of my learners comes to me with the problem. I enrolled 2,000 learners in the course and only 20-30 have had this issue.
The stopping at slide 27 does not happen on SCORM cloud. I'm thinking that this is due to reaching some limit of my LMS for cmi.suspend_data. I know that this is compressed by the LMS and not human readable but the string was 3063 characters long when viewed in word. My LMS states that their suspend data limit is 3000. I guess this leaves me with 2 questions:
I guess that was 3 questions. Let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Brandon
Hi Brandon!
You can check out our documentation on SCORM Suspend Data Limits here.
I'm not sure what would drive the particular error without seeing your file, but with the issue not happening via SCORM Cloud, it's likely not the course and I would encourage you to follow up with your LMS.
