It depends on the LMS, in last couple of weeks have found that Cornerstone loads all content in iFrame and Moodle loads HTML5 content in iframe, I am finding it much easier to insert these as web objects now and change the javascript in the certificate to reference the parent.
Good morning/afternoon/evening Matthew, your example worked fine for me too. Hmm. Maybe try and republish again. Did you publish in 360, if so what output did you publish in? We seldom had an issue publishing in SL2 then it all went wrong in HTML5 after publishing in 360.
I noticed today that a course I am working on is no longer passing a user entered text variable when viewed on an iPad. I have not worked on this course for awhile but just made some updates and published using 360. I have to do some investigation to see if it is an error I introduced but I think it might be a bug.
It is passing the variable now, but there it a strange loss of focus thing happening now which may have something to do with the way I have embedded the file on my web page.

Thanks for that Matthew, I've updated the javaScript as it was out of date but still no joy.
I'm using an edited report file for the certificates, could something in my template be causing the issue?
I've attached the html report file I use for all courses.
It's a bit messy but has always worked until recently.
User name is pulled from Storyline when clicking to print certificate.
Good morning Matt, thanks for your help.
I've just put this together, hope it helps.

Happily.
Thanks again for your help with this, feel like I'm constantly banging my head against a wall with all this at the moment.

Interesting, I launched Mathew's test example on my iPad and the name did not pass through.
