Using master slides to mimic object classes, slides as objects

To build an interactive exercise that I'm planning, I need various components to act like objects.

For instance; I have a  Fleet , which has some properties, like a record , number or aircraft, type of operation

Or Aircraft, which has a Type, Registration, Service history

.. or Inspector, which has Experience, Qualifications

And so forth. For my wireframe I am creating Master slides for each object class, and propose to use individual slides to represent instances of that object. The various properties will feature as undefined variables on the master slides, and then have (temporary) definitions set by the instance pages - which will then allow specific outputs based on those variables.

Has anyone tried this approach? Any experiences with similar projects would be appreciated...
