I'm using Storyline 3 and I prefer to record the audio while I'm also recording the video. I can't see how to then edit the audio separately? On the timeline, it only shows the screencast, no audio track.
I feel this is a huge miss. Camtasia, which is a less robust program, provides separate tracks for audio and video. Hopefully Articulate will take note and make enhancements to their software.

The audio cannot be split and edited separately. Both the audio and video are recorded as one.
