Variable not changing to TRUE on one slide but works fine on another

Good morning

I'm working through a project that I want to have a checkmark icon appear as the user goes through each of the topics.  I got this to work fine on one slide but, even though the setup all appears to look the same, it will not do the same on another slide.

Steps:

The user is to click on a hotspot to get to the content for the selection

When they click the hotspot there is a trigger to turn the variable from False to True <-- this is what does not appear to occur on the second slide

I've included screen shots of each scenario showing the setup but then the results when previewing.  The first scenario is the one that is working fine (clicked on "Training Registration" ("Training Calendar")).  The second did not turn to TRUE clicking on "About ARI" (or "eLearning" either).

HELP!?!?!
