I have created custom tab activity with use of variables ex. tab01, tab02, tab03... check all tab visited and show activity completion message. Then I saved story file as .storytemplate to reuse.
Now my problem is when I import slide with mentioned this template in any new course, slide with this templete is inserting but all variables are reset to unasigned.
Can you please help me why I am not getting any variables if I import functionaltemplate from .storytemplate?
As a rule we never bother with using the template function, it is far easier to build a set of master templates as a file. This way you simply open and save a new project keeping the originals and allowing you access to all the templates you need in working condition.
Templates vs. master slides vs. a regular .story file can be a bit confusing depending on what you're looking to use it for. There are some great explanations and examples linked in this thread. That may help to review the info there.
