Variables, states or not! Aug 18, 2013 By Mark Fernley Hi, I was hoping someone could help me with setting up a page to do the following: The first time a learner accesses the first page of a module an information slide (lightbox?) shows up over the first page. Once the learner reads and closes the information slide the first page is accessible. The information slide will not show up any subsequent times. Thank you, Mark

I'm still pretty new to storyline so I might be missing something fairly obvious. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Mark
Josh Uhlig over 10 years ago08/19/13 at 9:44 am (UTC) Mark, Make sure you have all of the following: A true/false variable with an initial value of false A trigger on the base layer that shows the info layer (or lightbox) on timeline start with a condition that the variable you created is false. A trigger on the info layer (or lightbox slide) that adjusts the variable's value to true on timeline start.
