Here's what I see with the default Story Size 720x540 and lightbox:
This is what I see with a custom Story Size of 1151x863 (increase):
The scale down on the "X" in the larger version only seems to happen when previewing for me. When I publish and upload the course to a server, it appears larger. I believe this may be due to the limited preview space and a larger Story Size.
Here's the published version of the same custom size I showed earlier:
If you're using a custom size, make sure you publish and test the content to ensure you've viewing the proper scale and size you've set for your course.
If you're not seeing the correct size of the "X" after you publish and upload to a server, can you tell me what size you're currently using or can you share your .STORY file here?
I realize that the "X" and the radio button do appear to be different, but I think this may be due to the size change, browser adjustment, etc. I lined up the different versions for comparison and this is what I see:
For the radio button, I think it might work better for your project if you make it larger. I think it appears smaller because the content on the slide adjusts to the Story Size, but not the button itself.
For the "X" it's a similar situation. However, it's not possible to make this button appear larger.
Perhaps you could create a custom button to close the lightbox, as I did in my test files.
If you would like me to take a look at your project, I'd be happy to do so. Just attach the .STORY file to your response.
I have not been using storyline for about a year now. So I am hopping to find a solution here. Iam posting here about this issue that was addressed 5 years ago. Now it is Dec.23.2019. I agree with Gustavo. The x button is still small. It was small when I was using storyline 1, Storyline 2 and now Storyline 3. The button is about 25px by 25px.
There isn't a way to customize Storyline's lightbox dimensions and placement at the moment, but it's an idea worth exploring. I've shared your insight as a Feature Request with the right team!
In the meantime, could a custom lightbox with triggers and layers work for your design? Here's how to set that up!
Katie,
Thank you for forwarding the feature request.
Of course, making a custom lightbox as illustrated give most control.
In fact, the lightbox should not scale down your content as the build-in
feature does.
But if I have 10 pages and I want to be able to call in the lightbox
content from any page,
then I would have to copy and paste the layer to each of the 10 pages.
And If the client decides to change content, then I have would have to
change the content 10 times.
Although in my case it is four pages and because of those two problems, the
small x and the scaling down, I will do what you have suggested creating a
minor but better learner experience.

Hi Gustavo,
Currently, the Close button "X"that is used to exit lightbox slides in Storyline cannot be changed.
If you'd like to request this feature, please submit your request directly to our product development team.
In the meantime, you can create your own custom lightbox effect with a modified button for closing the lightbox.
Take a look at this video demonstration to learn how.
I hope this helps!
Best,
Christine
Hi Christine. Thanks.
I think that i don't explain correctly my question. My X Button changed its size when i resized the story. It is too small

I had the same trouble with my radio buttons.
I think the trouble is related to change of story size. I customized the size to 2000x1125
Any ideas? Thanks a lot
Hi Christine, thanks for your help.
I had the same trouble when i publish and upload to server. I am using a custom story size of 2000 x 1125

Hi Gustavo,
I published two different versions of the same course today, both containing a radio button and lightbox.

Thanks for your help
Take a look please
It is related to the large size of the screen, the controls do not scale, perhaps it may be better to reduce the size of the slide
A lot of thanks Phil.
I will do some tests
Thanks, Phil :)
Thanks Christine too.
I think it is a design decision that our team will look at.
Merci beaucoup!
Also, be sure that Windows is set to the normal or default size for fonts.

Are there people who prefer smaller buttons?
Can we get it to like 38 px at least ?

Good morning, ahssan!
Thank you for the additional context. It helps us understand the need, and I'll make sure to include that in the report!
