How can I enable the learner to advance from a screen with an embedded video to the next screen at his will without having to watch the entire video before being allowed to advance?
I used an old screenshot.. but if you look at the bottom part of the right payne.. it should show you the triggers that are associated to the "Next" button.

The learner should be able to do this by default if no conditions were set on the "next" button.
I didn't intend to put any conditions on the next button. How/where can I check to remove any conditions I may have set inadvertently?

You should be able to see all the triggers/conditions on the slide itself on the right pane.
