MP4 videos are natively supported in Storyline 360, while other video file formats get converted to MP4 (you can see the list here).
Since MP4 doesn't accept alpha channels, this is not currently a feature supported in Storyline. We are tracking a feature request and will update this discussion when we have any news to share!
As a workaround, you could match the video and slide's backgrounds while keeping text and objects on top of the video, if your design allows.
I'm trying to add a video with transparent background, on a 360-degree image (cannot use your workaround). Is this feature supported? do you have a suggestion of how to approach this?

Hi, Adili.
Thank you for reaching out!
This is still an open request with our team, so I don't have any news to share on this feature.
I will update this discussion if this request makes it to our feature roadmap.
Hi @Maria, is there any news regarding this video issue?
Hello,
This feature still hasn't made it to Storyline 360's roadmap, but we'll be sure to leave a message here once we have any new updates to share!
