Videos (screencasts) not playing in published content

Hi,

I have recently uploaded two Storyline modules to my company LMS. None of the videos, which are screencastss inserted as video on a single slide, on either of the modules displays or plays in the published content. 

I have tried playing the modules on several different computers (work and home), using different browsers and I've tried playing them on iPad and phone, to no avail.

Does anyone know what the issue could be here? It's very frustrating to have spent so long putting these courses together for them ultimately not to work...

Hello Ollie and welcome to Heroes!

Have you tested this file anywhere besides through the LMS? You can look here for information on why videos might not play in the published output.

You can test the file in the SCORM Cloud which is the industry standard for testing, and it is a free option.

If you continue to have issues, you could add your file here using the paperclip icon so we could take a look.

If you need anything further, please let us know.

Hi Emily,

Thanks a lot for your response. I found that the problem was due to the LMS host server not being configured to play MP4s, as is explained here. After speaking with our LMS provider, we have sorted the issue and now the all the videos work great!

Thanks for introducing me to the STORM Cloud, I will definitely be using that for testing in the future.
