Web Object not working in Google Drive
Dec 10, 2013
Hello everyone,
I created a storyline and added a web object (YouTube video) to one of the slides. I uploaded the entire storyline project to web and extracted it to my Google Drive. The folder in Google Drive is set to public, I changed story.html to index.html and the project plays from my drive (reference: http://community.articulate.com/blogs/taylor/archive/2013/08/26/how-to-share-your-e-learning-course-for-free-with-google-drive.aspx). However, the web object will not play. I already made sure that my YouTube video is set to public, do, I'm not sure how to get that video to play. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,
Brian

My guess it's got something to do with Google.
I added the link to this demo and it works fine running from tempshare

I think this is a security issue with Google and/or an issue with iframes. When I run your link in IE I get this message (see bottom). Once I acknowledge, the video is displayed.
I had the same issue with web objects and google drive. It's not something you did wrong, just doesn't work. I've been meaning to try Microsoft Skydrive but haven't yet.
Just ran across this older post, having the same issue with googledrive, but also dropbox and amazon S3, all of them trigger a browser warning of unsafe script and require the user to click allow script, I would have assumed this was purely browser side security if it wasn't for the fact that if I zip and upload to tempshare it doesn't ask just automatically loads. Anyone got any ideas?
Also I tried to share the files in skydrive (now onedrive) but couldn't get that to work at all.
