I just upgraded to the latest version of SL2 and published a course I have been working on to WEB. There are a LOT MORE files in the published content folder than normal that have September 14, 2015 dates.
Is this a change I can expect in all WEB Published content in SL2.
Thanks for sharing the image here - you mentioned publishing for web but I see the index_lms.html file in the image you shared as well? As for the dates on the other items, was that the last time those files were modified and added into Storyline? Are you only seeing the changes since going through the update? What update were you on previously? Do the files still work once uploaded to your web server or are you running into a problem with them?
