What's the deal with passing quiz data to an LMS in SL3?

Nov 09, 2018

I remember in 2 there was this whole big thing for getting your quiz data into an LMS (as described here https://matthewbibby.com/variablelms/) which apparently doesn't work for 3/360

Documentation for 3 is here https://articulate.com/support/article/quiz-data-sent-to-an-lms-in-articulate-storyline and just says what data is passed on.

Am I to take it that its all background now and its as simple as export your object as scorm then put into LMS (in my case moodle) and jobs a good'un?

Hi Bruce,

You got it!

If you're using a standard quiz questions and results slide, you'll want to export for LMS using SCORM 1.2, 2004, or Tin Can API (depending on your LMS) and that'll send all that data detailed to your LMS. No special tricks needed!

Matthew's example was to capture variable values, such as a learners text entry on a non-standard question type.

Let me know if you need anything else!
