On my base layer, I have four objects. When user clicks one objects its shows the corresponding of 1 of the 4 layers. When user clicks on object D - it shows layer D. I allow for user to select layers A,C,D and when they use the on screen BACK button to return to base layer it automatic shows a large red X on the left of of baselayer object. Not sure how/why a red X is showing - can anyone help me understand why? .. and can you not show the X or show something else?
Randy, are you using a question type or a free form question to run this slide? If so, then that is probably the review function on the slide. It puts it into review mode to show the wrong answers. Check your review answers trigger on the results slide would be my suggestion.
If that's the case I would then look for a trigger. The states are not going to change when returning to a slide unless a trigger tells them to. Otherwise he would see it when he closes the layer.

Hi Randy I presume you did not build this file?
Try looking in the states of each of the objects there may be a couple of custom states

This is not review mode, it is something that has been built, it is either in states or objects on the base layer being changed to normal.

Yes, It should be obvious, unless it is just inside the selected state.
If you can share the file might make it easier for someone to help you
Bingo! the selected state is how the prior user set up. Thank you greatly, this forum is a wonderful collaboration venue. Take care.
