This may be a daft question, but I am assuming that once I create a file using one of the Articulate Desktop App features (such as Storyline), it gets stored locally onto my desktop or one of the mapped network drives that I choose. Is that a correct assumption or does the file get posted to Articulate cloud at any point?
Anything you create on the desktop apps will get stored locally. If you are trying to find a Storyline project, start by checking My Documents/My Articulate Projects.
Specifically, I'd recommend working on local project files as detailed here. That's the best way to prevent interference from a network/shared drive which could cause latency in the files ultimately leading to corruption.
