Why is there STILL no certificate function??

Jan 23, 2019

I've completed working on a course and my boss wants me to add a certificate of completion to the end of the course with the users name on it and date. I thought this would be a basic function in the software when my company choose to go with articulate to build our e-learning courses. After digging through threads and google searches I see people have been asking for this feature going back 7 years!! This is not a cheap software and this seems like a VERY easy thing to implement.

The only solution I see is on this page (https://articulate.com/support/article/how-to-create-certificates-by-customizing-the-reporthtml-file) where we're all suppose to figure out how to write code and jerry rig a function that should just be built in. Plus this certificate looks terrible.

Am I missing something here? Is there a better way to do this? We don't have the option of using an LMS with this ability and we have a custom certificate already made.

Hi Ben,

Sadly still nothing on this, we have had to go down the route of creating a Certificate using code. If you already have a custom certificate made, it may not be too bad to create the certificate functionality.

If you want some help to get it working if you still need this solution then let me know, happy to help.

I need your help doing this.  I've created a Rise course that works beautifully with my course; however, the client wants a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

I created a Storyline block with the Formative Assessment, Results slide that drives the learner to a Congratulations slide with fireworks and then to the Cert slide for print.

I know we can "allow the page to print", but it's not aesthetically pleasing.  I want the learner to have a nice cert at the end.  Do we have options for this yet?  I see this post is 3 years old.

Has anyone come up with a workaround? I need help like yesterday.  Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
