HI Mike, I've tried to do something similar using photospheres. But unfortunately i couldn't work out the interactivity so i settled for laying text boxes over the top for now.. Perhaps with a video you could pause the video during the slide timeline with triggers and invite an interaction from the learner?
hm the only way I see it working is importing the video as separate 360 images, but since you can not playback the video on the slide it is impossible to add text boxes cause who knows where they will display.
You only see the grey box during preview. Once the content is published, the video will show up. See here an example of a YouTube 360 degree video. As for interactivity, you cannot layer objects on top of a webobject, it will always be shows on top of any other Storyline objects. So, any interactivity, e.g. hotspots need to be added outside of Storyline before publishing the video.
Hi mike, sorry i meant the text box approach was good for me as i had a static image with 360 view. I see the challenge now in pausing the video. As its a web object. Will have to have think. ..
And here is an example for the other option (importing image sequences) you are considering. This would only work for short sequences, otherwise the image object takes too long to load.
How did you import the 360 image? Was it as a web object as well?
I'm not sure if your question was for me...The YouTube video was imported via a web object. The 3D rotation example was done via an image object with (lots of) states that are displayed based on the slider movement.
Hi Carlene, I want to use a 360 photosphere in an elearning. How did you do it? Do you have an example? My ideal would be to have the learner be able to move around the sphere with the mouse (or if need be a slider) and be able to click on hotspots. Is this what you did?
Not completely sure if this is possible but I have been looking at interactive videos using h5p (https://h5p.org/) to create layers over the top of video content, pause it at breakpoints etc. You could then embed the h5p object as a web object in storyline.
I'm dying to be able to add hotspots within 360 degree video. Has anyone tried the h5p.org route? I'm guessing it would be hard to add them to a view that's not the forward facing view?

Hi Matt,
Did you work out how to add hotspots within a 360 degree video? If so could you tell me how you did it.
