Adding a TImer to a course
Jan 16, 2018
This subject has come up before but I wanted to add what I found when searching the Internet for a solution. I was originally looking for something with JavaScript thinking I needed to use that approach.
While there are several solutions out there, they are pretty complex. Instead I found this https://articulate.com/support/article/how-to-add-a-timer-to-your-course. It is very simple and only uses a results slide. I just added the slide to my project, set up the timer as instructed and there it is a timer showing how much time has elapsed from the total time. Perfect!

Great suggestion _ I would never have thought this as a Results page attribute. Thanks.
I love this idea, this is exactly what I am looking for, however, when you exit the course and then resume where you left off, do you know how to reset the clock? I want it to start at zero again? Thanks
Wendy, this does work well but I may have to ask Articulate for an answer. I will look at it and let you know what I find.
Thank you so much.

Wendy, I just tested my course and it does start where it left off and the timer does as well. Are you running the course from a website or LMS? It should work either way.
The instructions also say the timer should hold when a person stops.
I know and it is perfect except my requirement is to have the timer reset whenever a user resumes. I know it must be possible but I am at a loss to the variables to make it happen.
Will keep searching. Thank you for your reply.
