Hello all. I am working on a course with a circular donut shaped text area that will spin. I see that there is a donut shape in ppt which seems to be exactly what I am looking for but the text goes in the center vs being in the ring. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the text into the ring? Am I making any sense?
Dont know if you found this yet but in 2007/10 go to the insert tab and then word art. Choose a style and type your text. When you click on the word art text it will bring up the drawing tool tab and then in the section marked word art styles go to text effects and transform. Then you can bend your text as per 2003 and put it on top of the donut shape.
Thank you Kat. I really appreciate the help from this forum. It seemed like such a little problem but I could not find an answer anywhere. Have a great day.
As another option, you could also try saving the text out as a picture--with or without the WordArt effect--and then use the image fill for the doughnut and use the image you created. You could mix up effects that way.

I actually found it on an older machine with ppt 2003. I knew you could bend word art but could not find it in 2007.
Thanks anyway.
