Change of state not working when using htnl5 on laptop

May 14, 2014

Hi, I have created some courses that prevent the learner from clicking next until they have watched the full video on each slide. I have done this by making the next button disabled until the media completes. It works fine when I launch the course using html but it ignores the trigger when i use html5?

I am using a laptop not an ipad as I want my learners to click on one button/url only to launch a course, rather than having to say "click here" to launch the course if you are using a laptop/desktop or "click here" if you are using a mobile device.

Has anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas how to solve it?

Mark

Hi Mark and welcome to Heroes!

Sorry we missed your post - the Building Better Courses forum is generally for design, ideas, etc. questions but we have a general Storyline Support forum (and one for the other products as well) here.

In regards to the issue you're experiencing, where are you testing the HTML5 content? You'll want to test from Google Chrome on your desktop/laptop or within Mobile Safari on your iPad as detailed here.

The HTML5 content on an iPad will have a launch page, although there is some community discussion on how to remove it.

Hope that helps, and feel free to let us know if you need anything else!
