creating two paths for content

I was wondering if anyone had a clever idea for providing the user with two paths through the content(essentially video). The initial path would provide no ability to fast forward through video to ensure it was all watched. The second path would allow the user to fast forward through the video provided, letting them get back to the piece they needed to review. I think I'm good with all the variables and triggers to acknowledge completion. What I am struggling with is how to allow the seek bar to be available in some instances and read only in others.
Any thoughts or alternative approaches are appreciated

Hi Dave,
You can use a layer to cover the video controls, and add a trigger to hide or show that layer. So if the layer is shown, users won't allowed to control the video since they can not see and interact with the it; and if the layer is hided, users can control the video as they like.
