Electrical troubleshooting simulation
Apr 27, 2017
I'm looking for something allegedly developed in Articulate 360. I have a brick-and-mortar course that I'm converting to online. In it is a chapter on "Troubleshoot light circuits, starting, charging systems, and basic control systems found on precision agriculture equipment with a multimeter." Obviously doing this online is different than in a classroom. I want to do something similar to what Simutech has, but without all the training. We have the training in place; we just need a simulation for the student to demonstrate what he or she has learned in the course.
Does anyone have a simulation like this they have built? I'm new to Articulate 360, so building something like this from scratch would take more time than I have. Thanks for the help.

Hi Richard,
Is the training course something that was developed in-house? If so, you could just extract the part with the simulation and publish it as a stand-alone project.
I haven't seen anything like this in the community, but I'll let the community members jump in if they have something similar.
Hi Richard,
We have developed a number of interactive troubleshooting courses in Storyline and with native programming - would be glad to speak with you about them. We work very closely with Ag equipment manufacturers (Deere, Kubota, CLAAS, Versatile, etc, etc)

Our course is developed in house, but the simulation comes as a package that we'd probably have to use in its entirety. I would love to do an extraction, but there may be proprietary issues. That's why I'm looking at all sorts of options.
I'm looking for basically the same thing. We're converting a lot of courses from face to face to online and most of these courses have a lot of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting in them. Is there any example material available with a virtual multimeter or examples of walking through hydraulic circuits showing pressure and flow? I'm not even real sure what I'm looking for, just trying to get ideas on how to effectively teach some of these concepts online.
