Are you working in Storyline? As far as I know, Storyline doesn't save as or export directly to a PDF.
You could publish the course to Word. However, that doesn't allow publishing just a scene or a slide (like publishing to the Web or LMS does). So you'd have to manually divide the Word file into multiple files based on the scenes, and then save each scene as a separate PDF.

I tried publishing in word but couldn't get that to work. I am working on a Mac running Parallels.
