Forum Navigation - Last Link
Dec 22, 2011
I had posted quite a while ago a comment (I think to the Storyline thread) that it was a hassle getting to the last page of a long thread because it takes many clicks to get there. A few days ago, I noticed for the first time that there's a "Last" link below the page navigation bar ... its position and coloring make it hard to notice. Or, it's been added since I made my comment. It would be helpful to have this link inline with the page navigation bar (which I suspect should be easy to do by adding a bit of CSS or wrapping the navigation widgets in a div of the right width).

Hi Vasily, and thanks for that suggestion. I just now logged it as a feature request on your behalf.
Thanks.
Jeanette, whilst were logging feature request for this site, how about when we get an email about a post, if we reply to the email it is posted in the forums, Merry Christmas
@Phil - great idea my friend. I just added that to our ELH feature request page.
Do you know of any sites doing something like that?
Thanks, David , Only place I have ever seen it was facebook (not sure they do it anymore) I am just out and about a lot and posting to this site from an iphone is not fun, and then feel bad I cannot reply!
Great idea Phil. Yammer do it as well, the only problem we came across was signatures being included in the posts which just added a whole lot of rubbish and made posts longer than they needed to be. Just somethign to be aware of.
I may be the only one, but I sure miss nntp-based user groups. I liked having discussions in my email archive--made searching and replying really easy. You were notified every time something happened and you could easily archive and search older threads.
Is it true that long posts get more hits ? I don't think so,
I think the topic should be interesting..
