how to insert ppt image with hyperlinks and send in an email

I know that this is off the topic of elearning, or maybe not...but can you create an image in PowerPoint with hyperlinks then import it into an email as an image?  note: the hyperlinks are within the image

Hi Dana! The hyperlinks won't make the trip along with the image from PowerPoint. As Jackie mentioned, depending on what email client you are using to send the email you can add the hyperlink to your image after inserting it into the email. For example, in Outlook you can right-click the image, choose Hyperlink... and then add the url you want to link to.  Gmail and most other email apps should have something similar.  Will that do what you need it to do?

Thanks for your help Jackie and Mike.  My boss wanted the hyperlinks to be "pretty" so I created the image attached.  I had intended to have text within each box that is hyperlinked to a page within our intranet.  I am learning that html image links are not recommended and that they scramble when sending the email to others.  I was able to send one test email without it scrambling.  What I (think) I did was save each small "box" as an image, then place each "box" in the email where it should go, then added the hyperlinks, and like I say, it worked one time.  Do you know of an easier or effective way, so that the "boxes" don't get scrambled?

The only other thing that I saw was turning it into a pdf then adding it as an attachment to the email.

Thanks again,

Dana

Hey Dana! I didn't see an attachment to your message? Was there supposed to be one? Your 'box" should be an image which you can add the hyperlink to. How were you creating the box originally? How was your link getting scrambled? An image wouldn't get scrambled but depending on where it's going some email programs block images by default (I think the link should still work even if the image is blocked.)
