How to use the scorers of multiple questions for a conclusion?

Oct 26, 2012

We have multiple questions to evaluate a subject, like healthy lifestyle. We want to give each answer of a question (multiple choice) a score and then add up the scores of all relevant questions. The range of the final scoreĀ (e.g. score 0-5) comes with a conclusion or recommendation (text and/or image) and we want to present that to the individual. Can this be done with one of the Articulate products and how?

Hi Marrs! Yes, it's totally possible to tally the learner's score and show a recommendation. You can do that in two different products:

  • In Quizmaker, you can definitely show a result slide with a tally, and customize the slide to contain a key which helps learners interpret their score. This post explains how you could do it.
  • In Storyline, you can make things even more customized. You can actually show a different slide layer with customized results for each scoring bracket, and show only the layer that matches whatever score the learner achieved. Here's a quick look at how to do that.
