Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is currently seeking an Instructional Design Specialist and a Senior Instructional Design Specialist.

The Instructional Design Specialist performs a full range of professional duties assisting colleagues with designing and implementing online courses as well as computer training support. The Instructional Design Specialist works with staff to develop new education curriculum (courses, content and materials) and translate existing content to new delivery formats. This position conducts an assessment of needs, designs curriculum for instruction, and implements and follows up with an evaluation of courses and curriculum created. A Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 5 years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. The candidate must have demonstrated success in curriculum design and development.

The Senior Instructional Design Specialist (SIDS) performs a full range of professional duties assisting faculty and staff with designing and implementing online courses (asynchronous and synchronous; standalone and academic) as well as computer training support. This individual works with ETC staff to develop new education curriculum (courses, content and materials) and translate existing content to new delivery formats. The SIDS conducts an assessment of needs, designs curriculum for instruction, and implements and follows up with an evaluation of courses and curriculum created. This individual provides ongoing instructional design and technical expertise for faculty and staff in the development of web-based projects and online learning opportunities. A Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 5 years of related experience is required. The candidate must have a demonstrated success in curriculum design and development. Knowledge and experience in developing relational and web-based databases is required.
