Position Title:  eLearning Developer
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Category:  Staff - eLearning Development (Exempt)

Massage Envy is the world’s largest provider of professional therapeutic massage with over 750 retail massage clinics across the United States. Over 18,000 licensed massage therapists serve our more than 1,000,000 members through our network of clinics and spas, now open in 45 states.

Position Summary:

Provides instructional design expertise, as well as developing clear, concise, well-written online curriculum. Responsible for working with internal partners to develop course materials for delivery via online modalities (e.g. eLearning WBT, Webinars, etc.). Works to unify all online training content across the organization to ensure language, content, and context are all appropriate and help to strengthen the Massage Envy Brand.

Major Responsibilities:

- Adapts instructional materials to varying audiences and training modalities
- Develops job-task-analysis and ensure consistent usage of learned knowledge across the organization
- Collaborates with subject matter experts
- Develops assessment capabilities for online learning content
- Manages multiple projects with competing priorities
- Creates and implement high quality, innovative training programs that are simple to implement, execute, and are performance driven
- Develops multimedia modules to support dynamic learning in both traditional eLearning modalities, as well as mobile (e.g. iOS and Android)
- Performs video editing and production

Top Priorities:

- Achieve desired ROI on all programs delivered
- Monitor online course work and assessment metrics and make recommendations to increase effectiveness
- Deliver the full complement of e-learning training initiatives for all levels within the franchise network
- Create innovative ways in which to develop materials to be distributed online

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience using online course development software – Articulate and Adobe Captivate
- Strong working knowledge of instructional design processes as it relates to e-Learning
- Background in developing knowledge assessments for e-learning learning solutions
- Knowledge of curriculum, manual, and visual layout design a plus
- Superior communication skills - written and verbal poise
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Outstanding interpersonal, partnering, and consultative skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Ability to explain complex subjects in simple terms
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- 2-3 years experience in developing online learning programs
- Experience with Learning Management Systems – using, administering, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently as an internal consultant to identify issues to design and develop solutions through diagnostic thinking, listening, asking effective questions, and through creative thinking


Preferred requirements:

- Experience as a trainer/facilitator
- Experience in the spa/wellness industry
- Masters degree a plus
- Franchise experience
- Experience in developing mobile applications
- Experience developing performance support aids across multiple modalities
- Experience using the Adobe CS 5.5
- Experience in project management, as well as use of Microsoft Project
