Multiple Choice quiz scores not being pushed from results slide using tablet or phone

Feb 17, 2017

I have almost all of the kinks worked out of my test - however, if using anything other than a laptop or desktop computer the results page doesn't push the grade to the LMS unless you click on "exit course". However, I have set up the program to push the results when the timeline starts on the results page, it has nothing to do with the exit button! If participants take the quiz and don't click "exit course" they won't get their credits for taking the course.

I have even tried duplicating my results slide and taking all the results items out of the second slide hoping that it would trigger the results to be pushed when the slide ended (after 2 seconds) and the second slide appeared. Thus being transparent to the user that they are on another slide.

It works on my laptop, but not the phone or ipad!

Is this a known issue or am I still missing something?

Hi Melinda,

Gosh, I'm sorry this has tripped you up in deploying your courses - and we can get you up and running again shortly. I'd need a bit more information from you to figure out what's happening, so if you'd rather share it privately you can message our Support Engineers here.

  • Do you know what Storyline version and update you're using? Easiest way to check is go to the Help tab -> About Articulate Storyline. You'll see the version and update number documented there, for example Storyline 2  Update 11 - Build 1609.3020  would be the latest of Storyline 2.
  • What iOS is on the iPhone/iPad? Is the course showing up in the Articulate Mobile Player or the Safari browser (HTML5)? You'll want to double check it's one of the options listed here.
  • Where are you hosting the course? Have you tried any other LMSs, such as SCORM Cloud? It's a good standard for how a course should behave in an LMS and would help narrow down the cause. This article will walk you through how to test there (bonus: it's free!).
  • Can you share a copy of the .story file with us? This is the file prior to publishing and would allow us to see and double check all your settings.
