If I go into new discussions, choose one, read it, and then press my browser "Back" button, it goes back to "Your Picks", which I do not really want to look at, (as I want to try and help with new questions...).
Is there some workflow/usage steps that I am missing?
No, that's a byproduct of how we chose to implement those tabs. We're looking at changing it so the last one selected sticks when you go back. There are some implications of doing so which makes it a bit trickier than it sounds but I'm sure we'll find a good compromise.
We're also exploring other ways to make it easier to keep on top of new activity across the forums. Good stuff to come...
