Please Help! Slide won't load!
Jun 02, 2017
Hi Everyone
I'm currently building a course in Storyline made up of 4 scenes. The scenes start by introducing a character before moving into their module.
When previewing the scene or the project, both scenes 'get stuck' on a particular slide - with the 'Storyline thinking wheel' going on forever. There's no way to move past this. The same happens when the course is published.
The slide itself is not overly large. It has images and some text but doesn't have video, sound, animations etc.
I've included a screenshot of the offending slide below - looking for any advice for fixing this issue please!
Thanks in advance,
Rachel

Hi Rachel
Could it be something to do with the submit button? Is the slide a question slide and there isn't a trigger set correctly?
it is likely something to do with the text a special character or something. Would try removing the text first.
Thanks for the replies - I'll give it a go!
On the topic of the Submit button - I added a drag and drop interaction to this slide to show somebody something - I now can't work out how to remove it! There are no targets etc assignedd but I can't remove the 'submit interaction' trigger (no option to delete?)
Any thoughts?
Thanks again!
Hi Rachel
in the slide properties (bottom right handside) uncheck the 'submit' button and that should remove the submit interaction trigger.
I've just tried removing the text and unfortunately this loading issue is still happening.
The project is made up of an 'intro' scene and then separate character scenes.
I tried changing the trigger from 'jump to scene' to jump to slide (the first of that scene)
and even tried jumping to another slide in the scene. The same issue occurs each time.
This makes me think the issue isn't with that particular slide....?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks Wendy! :)
IT is normally the slide after this one that is causing the problem with the special characters, have you tried jumping to a different slide, perhaps just a blank slide to test it.
