Removing navigation creates empty space below stage

Sep 27, 2013

Hi Everyone!

I've been having some trouble with a project I'm working on and I'm including two images to show you exactly what is going on.

I created custom navigation buttons and removed the navigation buttons on the player. When I preview, the stage expands to fill the space where the player button should be, but when I publish (to CD and LMS), there is empty space there. Changing the size of the project has not helped.

Any ideas on how/if I can fix this? Thanks so much in advance for any help!!

You need to remove it from every slide, if any slides have a next/previous then this will happen

Thank you, Phil, that was it! Apparently one slide slipped by that still had the Next and Back buttons on it. Thanks again!

As far as your question about why I would do this...well, I enjoy creating custom items whenever I can. I do prefer the look of the buttons on the slide also, I think using the player Next/Back buttons creates a look of wasted space if I don't have the need for a seekbar or audio control. (I also have a lot of time to work on this project, so I'm in no hurry!)

Jennifer,

I'm betting you have the seekbar activated on at least one slide. If the seekbar is active for even a single slide, you'll get that empty space at the bottom on every slide without the seekbar. The only remedy is to turn off the seekbar on every slide.

Steve,

Thank you for your response! The culprit  was a Next button still checked on a slide I forgot to review.
