Skills to keep up with current e-learning

Hi,
I have been developing e-learning for a number of years now and have made changes to what I believe would keep up with current trends (i.e. building micro-learning topics as opposed to the previous longer versions).
There is a concern however, that the skills/tools I'm using may not be as up-to-date as they could be (currently using Storyline, Active Prensenter and PowerPoint).
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of software they're using and what skill levels would be adequate to continue progressing with e-learning development.
Many Thanks

Hi Lee,
Has the concern been raised by a client or is it your feeling that the tools you're using are outdated?
Have you used Rise yet? I've certainly seen a shift towards this from some of my own clients.
Hi David,
There's no concern raised, it's more as I've been working for the same employer for more than 6 years on a somewhat restricted budget that I don't want to fall behind should future opportunities arise.
Hope that makes sense?
I haven't used Rise but am due to upgrade from Storyline 2 to 3 (our budget can't allow for 360).
Makes plenty of sense.
I'd definitely recommend downloading a trial of 360 so you can at least try out Rise. Even though you're not upgrading to 360 it will at least give you a chance to see what another tool can offer.
Great, thanks for your advice.
I'll have a look the 360 trial, cheers.
