Slider not resetting to original state when revising slides
Dec 06, 2016
Good day,
I have a slider on a slide that might be revisited by learners. I have set the slide properties to 'Reset to Initial State' (When Revisiting), so when a learner revisits the slide, everything on it does go back to the original state, but the slider's thumb remains at the end of the slider where the learner left it the last time. This results in the incorrect layer displaying for the position of the thumb.
I can add possible workaround by adding a duplicate slide which when navigasting back, the learner visits the new (previously visited) slide, but that seems to defeat the purpose of this fucntion and the same thing will happen should the learner go back for a third time.
Any guidance on this will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Jacques

Hi Jacques, are you able to attach your story file? this will make it easier to answer your question.
Hi Julia,
Thank you for your prompt response and willingness to help.
Unfortunately I can't, it is very sensitive information and cannot be posted on a public site.
Is there perhaps another way I can send you the file?

happy to help you if you can send file.
Other option is remove sensitve information then post.
Magnificent, thank you Julia. I will send it through shortly.
I have replied to your email Jacques. Hopefully answering your question.
Hi Julia,
Thank you very much for the simple yet effective solution, it works perfectly!
For the benefit of others, the solution was to set the slider variable to its initial value (1 in this case) when the time line starts.
Julia, thanks so much for providing the personal help here!
