I'm a Storyline newbie--have been building courses in Lectora for about 4 years and loving how easy everything is is Storyline! Anyway, I have searched and can't find info about the variables for scoring the test in step-by-step slides. On the results slide, I see the 4 variables used to score the test, but in my triggers, there are no variables (just says "Unassigned") and when I open the list of variables they are not there. What am I missing? How do I get the scores to calculate and display? Thanks in advance for any help!
The Results.xyz variables are read-only; they cannot be changed with triggers. You should see them though in the list of variables. What exactly are you trying to do with your triggers? In a Step-by-step test mode, you shouldn't have to add additional triggers to score the interactions, e.g. hotspot interaction.
I fixed the problem by just adding in another results slide manually. Not sure why, but the variables/triggers in the automatically-added results slide weren't hooked to anything. Maybe just a quirk of Storyline? Thanks for responding!
