Text entry game

Jul 29, 2020

I had an enquiry from a client this week for a game they were trying to build and didn't know how. I gave them a high level overview of how to build it.

But the idea wouldn't leave my head, so I took some time out yesterday to build it.

Let me know what you think.

I will share the file when I sort a few things out, I really want to get the Enter Key to submit.

Here is the file.

@Pernille the list should be:

  • Dragon fruit
  • Watermelon
  • Apple
  • Orange
  • Grapes
  • Pineapple
  • Strawberry
  • Kiwi fruit
  • Pomegranate
  • Cherry

And one not so easy to see fruit.

There are some variations allowed, and I have a version up and running with fuzzy logic where if the spelling is 80% correct you will get credit.

This is so beautiful and an excellent game for language learning (which is what I teach), but as Pernille noted, I also wondered if I could allow for "close enough" spellings--and provide feedback. I'm looking forward to looking at this more closely. Thanks so much for helping a newbie like myself learn from the experts!

Thank you Sarah! I was hoping there was another version to download. I am in love with this template and have been working with it since the day before Thanksgiving but it refuses to save my changes and almost crashed my laptop.

I receive the following error messages:

  • The project “Name” won’t open. Close Articulate Stroryline then try to open your project again.”
  • The file is being used by another process or you do not have the proper permission to access this resource. Make a copy of your project file, then try to open the new file.
  • The project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of Storyline.

Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated. Has anyone else created a similar version?
