'This action is only valid for products that are currently installed'

When I try and access my desktop Articulate app I get this error message:

'This action is only valid for products that are currently installed"

I have received a message that an installation update is available but I cant open the app to complete it.

Has anyone else had this problem and know how to rectify it?
